1. Agreement to these terms

By creating a Color Hunter account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use Color Hunter. Version 1 does not support accounts for children under 14 and does not offer a parent or legal-representative consent flow. You must also be legally able to enter into these Terms under the law that applies to you.

3. Your account

• Color Hunter currently uses Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication.
• Provide accurate account information and keep access to your Google account secure.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
• Do not share authentication tokens, impersonate another person, or create accounts for someone under 14.
• Contact support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. The Color Hunter service

Color Hunter gives players a daily target color. A player photographs a real-world match, selects an area, receives a local preview, and may submit one ranked catch for the canonical hunt day. The backend selects the canonical target and calculates the authoritative score.

Features described as future plans—such as friends, leaderboards, subscriptions, tournaments, prizes, or marketing communications—are not part of the current service.

5. Photos and your responsibilities

• Only capture and submit photos that you are legally allowed to take and use.
• Respect other people’s privacy, property rights, intellectual-property rights, and local rules about photography.
• Do not submit unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, hateful, threatening, or intentionally harmful material.
• Avoid capturing identification documents, payment information, private messages, children, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
• Color Hunter is designed for camera captures of real-world color matches; do not manipulate inputs or bypass controls to misrepresent a catch.

6. Ownership and permission to process your content

You keep any rights you have in photos and other content you submit. You give SRL Filosoft Company a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, resize, analyze, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Color Hunter service and to comply with law. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except where a limited copy must be retained under applicable law or routine technical retention.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this permission and that our permitted use will not violate another person’s rights.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law or infringe another person’s rights through the service;
• attack, probe, overload, reverse engineer where prohibited, or interfere with the app, API, authentication, scoring, storage, or website;
• use automation, fabricated requests, replay attacks, altered photos, or other methods to manipulate scores or submission limits;
• access or attempt to access another user’s account, photos, tokens, or private data;
• upload malware or use Color Hunter to distribute harmful content; or
• misrepresent affiliation with Color Hunter or SRL Filosoft Company.

8. Scores and game results

Local scores are previews. The backend result is authoritative and may replace the preview after synchronization. Results can vary because of lighting, camera processing, image compression, selected area, device characteristics, network state, and algorithm updates.

A score is an entertainment feature, not a scientific certification or measurement for safety-critical, medical, commercial, or professional color decisions. We may correct invalid results or change the scoring algorithm for future catches while preserving the stored algorithm version for completed history.

9. Changes and availability

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device. We will use reasonable care in operating the service and will provide notice of material changes where required.

10. Our intellectual property

Color Hunter, its visual identity, software, text, graphics, and service design are owned by SRL Filosoft Company or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where practical and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to contact support.

You may stop using Color Hunter at any time. To end the account relationship, use “Delete account and data” in the app or follow the public account-deletion instructions. Merely uninstalling the app, clearing local data, signing out, or disabling notifications does not delete the server account. Account-deletion instructions

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Color Hunter is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make promises beyond those expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SRL Filosoft Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, opportunity, or profits arising from use of the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability caused by fraud, willful misconduct, or other categories protected by mandatory law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the concern. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will update the effective-date and last-updated fields and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
